Abou role:

Providing financial support to the global Latex Binders and Engineered Materials external reporting segments under the direction of the Global FP&A Lead, Latex Binders supporting Asia Pacific region.

 

As the Senior FP&A Analyst for Latex Binders and support to the Finance Leader, Asia Pacific for Engineered Materials during monthly closing and forecasting, support the decision-making process with the Global FP&A Lead, Latex Binders, the Finance Leader, Asia Pacific, business directors, segment global leadership team and regional business management teams on the development of the operational and financial strategy of the segment. Act as a catalyst instilling a financial approach and mindset throughout the organization, translating operational metrics into measures of performance, taking action and accountability in executing on short-term and long-term objectives, and the quality and timeliness of segment results; communicating value and risk issues up through senior leadership.

 

As a financial steward of the segments for Asia Pacific, preserve the assets of the organization by managing risks and ensuring accurate reporting of segment results, taking ownership of the segment financial statements including the P&L, balance sheet and statement of cash flows. Support the Global FP&A Lead in the monthly forecast, annual plan and five year strategy processes preparing financial projections, reporting and communicating the financial impacts of business operations, various strategic initiatives, and changes in the market/competitive environment. Assist the financial close process analyzing results, communicating deviations, assisting with audit requests, and working with the Controllers organization to ensure segment financial results are free from material misstatements. Ensure the ongoing development, monitoring, and adherence to the Company’s control systems as they relate to segment business operations (capital spending and expense control) and financial reporting (internal controls and SOX).

 

Under the direction of the Global FP&A Lead, support various cross-functional initiatives including, but not limited to, working capital management with a focus on optimizing accounts receivable/credit and inventories, Integrated Business Excellence (IBE), M&A & divestitures, capital investment analysis/allocation, customer/product/plant profitability analysis and improvement, competitor analysis, fixed costs spending, and resource planning; constantly evaluating levers to improve business performance across all these areas.

Responsibilities

Annual Budget and Five Year Planning process for all financial statements: - 15%
- Support the planning process for the BP segment in Asia Pacific. Determine strategic initiatives, challenge assumptions and outputs, coordinate schedule and format/content of deliverables
Monthly closing / results analysis and communication - 20%
- Evaluate monthly actual results and deviations from forecasts, prepare communication for segment management
Monthly forecast updates and communication - 25%
- Prepare and review forecast submissions with business leaders; challenge assumptions and evaluate options and drive actions for improved performance.
Capital investment, M&A & Divestitures and strategic analysis - 15%
- Responsible for supporting the proper evaluation of all Asia Pacific BP capital investments and M&A & Divestiture activities. Evaluate strategic fit, ensure analytical consistency.
Controlling of Customer/Product/Plant profitability and fixed cost analysis - 10%
- Evaluate profitability at the customer, plant, and product levels. Provide data and insights to commercial teams and drive actions for improvement.
People leadership & performance management - 0%
- Goal setting, performance reviews, on the spot feedback. Does not include defining/guiding/reviewing subordinates’ work, which is a component of the other key accountabilities.
Compliance, Control & SOX - 10%
- Maintain a culture of regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies and procedures and the SOX processes.
Other business support - 5%
Ad hoc analysis for Global FP&A Lead, Global FP&A Director, and Business SVP as necessary.

Qualifications

1. Minimum Education Required:Bachelor’s in Business Management / Finance / Accounting (Masters/MBA/CPA/CFA preferred)
2. Minimum Experience (years and type):8+ years
3. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Manufacturing cost accounting, financial accounting, international management, economic evaluation, mergers & acquisitions, strong analytical ability
