The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role involves developing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting equipment failures, implementing RM/PM/PdM programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Maintenance Leader also collaborates with other departments to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime (reliability concept).
Work with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and equipment procurement.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum Experience
(years and type): Minimum 10+ years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Technical Skills:
Experience on Heavy equipment, such as Static & Rotating equipment/ Extruder/ Pelletizer/ Pump & Blower.
Experience on Electricity distribution system, such as Switch Gear/LV and HV/MCC.
Commissioning and Startup experience.
Experience on Reliability program, such as MTBF, spare part management.
Experience on RM/PM/PdM program. Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis and thermography.
Knowledge of IEC, NEC, ASME, GMISS and some other local and International Standards.
Knowledge of Change Management.
Contractor Safety Management.
Prefer to have Green/Brown field project experience.
Fundamental of knowledge of EHS and Process Safety.
Experience on Compounding process is much preferrable.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Understanding of PLC systems, automation, and industrial equipment is a plus.
