The Engineering and Technology Leader is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities, together to responsible on technology implementation, not limited on project and select right technology into the plant.

 

This role involves on manage effect Plant Specific Technology Plan, implement TICA project, ensure effective maintenance organization to fit the plant daily needs. and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role also collaborates with other departments to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime (reliability concept) and drive MET project.

 

  1. Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
  • Assign tasks, monitor work performance, and ensure team efficiency.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for or contributing towards the workforce's safety, productivity, quality, and overall effectiveness.
  • Articulates the expectations of all maintenance employees via the Site vision, Facility Maintenance Strategy, MI plan (Managing Improvement) and common behaviors.
  • The individual is accountable for functional/administrative goals.
  1. Maintenance Operations
  • Manage AMR (Asset Mechanical Reliability) meeting target.
  • Effective RM/ PM /PdM implementation.
  • Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain an accurate record of maintenance activities, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
  • Accountable for the overall application of the Maintain Facility Work Process and overall alignment to the business' needs.
  • Ensure full integration of work processes that have reliability and maintenance involvement.
  • Team-member of Reliability leadership team.
  1. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other industry standards.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections.
  • Serve as firefighting management personnel
  1. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Support non-maintenance activities in the Operate Plant domain: process cleaning, small process changes, Opex and Capex project participate.
  • Implement lean maintenance and best practices to reduce costs and improve productivity.
  • Work with production teams to recommend equipment upgrades or modifications.
  • Manage maintenance budget, optimize spare parts inventory, and control maintenance costs.
  1. Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align maintenance activities with business goals.
  • Provide regular updates on maintenance status, issues, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
  • Work with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and equipment procurement.
  1. Facilitate in providing plant data for global gap analyses and identification of plant-level improvement opportunities (from plant, business, and technology resources, identify all opportunities and prioritize from a plant perspective).
  • Identify and validate all value-added improvement opportunities and assist in building the Plant-Specific Technology Plan and Class of Facility.
  • Implement projects as identified in the Plant-Specific Technology Plan. Perform project management/manufacturing rep roles for small capital (range between $800M~1,400M spending per year) projects from Plant-Specific Technology Plan.

Responsibilities

- Facilitate in providing plant data for global gap analyses and identification of plant-level improvement opportunities (from plant, business, and technology resources, identify all opportunities and prioritize from a plant perspective).

1. Identify and validate all value-added improvement opportunities and assist in building the Plant-Specific Technology Plan and Class of Facility.

2. Implement projects as identified in the Plant-Specific Technology Plan. Perform project management/manufacturing rep roles for small capital (range between $800M~1,400M spending per year) projects from Plant-Specific Technology Plan.- 50%

- AMR(Asset Mechanical Reliability) responsible / AC(Asset Capability) & AU(Asset Utilization) accountable- 20%

- Maintenance Team and stakeholder Coordination- 10%

- Facility Reliability Improvement- 10%

- Cost Control- 10%

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical experience.

Minimum Experience

(years and type):

Minimum 10+ years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience on Heavy equipment, such as Static & Rotating equipment/ Extruder/ Pelletizer/ Pump & Blower.
  • Experience on Electricity distribution system, such as Switch Gear/LV and HV/MCC.
  • Commissioning and Startup experience.
  • Experience on Reliability program, such as MTBF, spare part management.
  • Experience on RM/PM/PdM program. Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis and thermography.
  • Knowledge of IEC, NEC, ASME, GMISS and some other local and International Standards.
  • Knowledge of Change Management.
  • Contractor Safety Management.
  • Prefer to have Green/Brown field project experience.
  • Fundamental of knowledge of EHS and Process Safety.
  • Experience on Compounding process is much preferrable.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Understanding of PLC systems, automation, and industrial equipment is a plus.
