About role:

This position will support both Plastics Solution & PMMA business. Person will take ownership of all technical activities including customer support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate with plant technical team & customer for validation tests. Co-ordinate with external lab as needed.
  • Address & resolve customer complaints related to material, product, and process. Attend trials, perform troubleshooting for acceptable outcome.
  • Attend customer quality complaint, analyse & provide RCA/ 8D to customer, clos the complaint.
  • Perform competition grade analysis and comparison report to propose our equivalent materials.
  • Co-ordination for new project technical discussion with customer to explain advantage of our materials.
  • TDS comparison with competition grades. Lead technical discussion with customer, provide response to technical queries of customer.
  • Suggest appropriate RM grade as per customer application requirements.
  • Support in customer new development projects such as VAVE, cost reduction etc.
  • Prepare & regularly update database of OEM proved grades.
  • PPAP document preparation as needed.
  • All kind of technical certification (ISO TS, providing to customer on time
    • IMDS co-ordination (internal External).

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Education Required: B.E in Engineering; M. Tech/M.E preferred
  2. Minimum Experience (years and type): 5-10 years of industrial experience in technical service & development functions, automotive experience required
  3. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Experience in polymer processing (especially injection molding).
    • Experience with acrylic/PMMA materials in automotive market preferred.
    • Experience and/or training in polymer characterization, testing, and melt processing.
    • Proficiency with PC software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, experimental design software).
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a global team environment.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
