Overview

As a process technician, he (or she) will be working on the manufacturing area where they will monitor processes, test batch quality, maintain equipment logbooks, ensure the area is clean, and report any machine faults to your supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Set up process/utility equipment (cleaning, line-up etc.) to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust operation equipment settings (e.g. speed, setpoint)
• Unloading raw material & shipping finished goods
• Incoming raw material acceptance testing & issue COA for finished goods
• Inspect/clean process equipment & piping periodically (vessel, exchanger, transfer line etc)
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• DCS operation
• Utilize company specific system (Quality system, SAP)
• Understand operating discipline/ update procedures
• Acquire relevant licenses (forklift, hazardous material handling, industrial safety etc0
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Maintain activity logs

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.  A two year technical / mechanical degree is preferred. 
2-3+years of previous manufacturing, or lab and chemical experience is preferred
Experience working with hand tools is preferred
For the Technical Production Operators, a valid forklift drivers’ license is required along with obtaining hazardous material handling certification
Will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator, and to adhere to all safety standards, including the smoke-free and drug-free workplace policy
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as be independently motivated to produce results
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through written communication
Ability to lift a maximum of 45 pounds when needed
