About Role:
The role of the EHS Engineer is responsible to provide practical support on activities in the field of Environmental, Health & Safety for the site. And the role is also responsible for the oversight and development of EH&S plans and managing the implementation of environmental programs for the site. The role manages the EHS activities through team members from production, site logistics and maintenance.
The EHS Engineer acts as the lead in monitoring existing and potential environmental concerns and recommends priorities for resolution. The incumbent works with leadership to define, develop, and implement process safety strategies to enhance the overall productivity and safety measures in plants/sites. He/she identifies common safety/health hazards inherent in the organization’s operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards. The role leads response and investigating teams for near missed or critical incidents, and audits programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations and adequacy relative to local conditions. He/she develops programs and training for remedial action and maintains relationships with regulatory and government agency personnel. He/she also leads improvement projects to related to EHS.
