Overview

This role is designed to optimize logistics cost spending, improve on-time delivery KPIs, manage queries and escalation, also lead daily logistics planning & execution activities.
 
This role will:
• Assure the delivery of material to our customer’s requested destination safely, on-time, undamaged, and with the right shipping documents
• Drive improvements through identification of work process improvements, root cause investigations, reporting / data analysis
• Provide effective support, guidance, training to Ulsan plant logistics related activities
• Resolve logistics issues quickly with the appropriate action taken
• Provide oversight & management over 3rd-party logistics service providers
• Provide necessary representation for interaction with local Ulsan customs office for custom queries and audit coordination and escalation purposes
• Monitor logistics cost for compliance & accuracy
 

Responsibilities

> Run the Business:
• Run order report daily and monitor if there is any outstanding shipment
• COO Handling - prepare documents and handle different enquiries from local customs during inspections
• Facilitate among Ulsan site, carriers, CSR & planner for daily loading arrangement
• Monitor capacity issue with carriers & other parties
• Manage logistics changes and exceptions regarding containers, carriers, Ulsan site and last-min change from customer side
• Review and approve invoices, claims, and accessorial charges within given DOAs
• ADD (actual delivery date) data collection from local LSPs regularly / APAC OTD (on-time delivery) Reporting
• Develop and monitor KPI’s for the logistics service providers and take corrective actions accordingly
• Resolve escalated issues, QN investigation and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions
 
> Change/Improve the Business:
• Identify areas of improvement, to feed in regional Supply Chain Excellence project pipeline
• Act as the lead and executes SC Excellence - change/improvement project
 
> Compliance:
• Ensures daily activities can conform to work processes, conducting reviews to ensure work activities conform to internal and external compliance standards (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards, internal controls, ISO requirements, etc.)
 

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor degree, majored in Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance or Business is preferred
 
Minimum Experience (years and type):
At least 5-8 years’ experience in a relevant service role

• Self-motivated
• Attention to details
• Excellent communication, collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
• Data analytical skills is needed
• Good mastery of SAP ECC is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office desktop applications
• Spoken and written fluency in both English and Korean required
