As the growth of Performance Plastics in Asia, we need to have very skilled technicians to support the development of differentiated product. This compounding role is a function which is performed within the Technology and Innovation (T&I) lab under the R&D Department. This job was created to fulfill the growth targets of the consumer electronic business in APAC. Particularly on value-added material and process technologies in engineering materials the existing resources were limited in Hsinchu plastics innovation lab and this more resources can provide shorter lead-time of samples for customer requirement.
Assist to produce sample for customer requirement and material types includes but not limits to polycarbonate, ABS, and thermoplastic elastomer as well as next generation polymer. This job position mainly supports Hsinchu Plastics Innovation lab for sample preparation and new product development for strategic accounts of consumer electronics and expanded other targeted accounts, like Apple, Google, Amazon and etc.
In most of cases, the candidate prepares lab samples by twin screw extruder, makes specimen by injection molding, and melt flow rate test. May also need to support testing items include mechanical property, color and UL 94 testing. All those operation would be follow standard operation procedure (SOP) and EH&S standard.
協助生產客戶所需樣品。常規的工作流程為:原物料準備與領入料, 使用雙螺桿押出機製備樣品, 射出標準色板與利用分光儀對色, 及調整色粉配方以達到顏色標準。常規的測試包含了分光儀顏色測試與色彩分析。熔融指數, 另外配合部門需要進行部分塑料檢測工作, 如一般機械性能測試, UL 94 阻燃測試等, 並遵照標準操作程序作業與公司安全規範.
• Skills: One or more of the follows: Mechanical and chemical analysis, material characteristics, composite manufacturing & testing, injection molding, polymer compounding & blending, machinery maintenance & modification
• Communication: (verbal, written, instructional etc ): Clear oral expression and essential writing skill in Chinese, English ability as preferrence
